Mapa handles the kids’ paperwork. You get more time with them.

The school emails, the forms, the doctor’s notes: who makes Mapa, why it exists, and what it won’t do.

Mapa in one line

Forward the school email, snap the form or send a voice note. Mapa puts the dates on your family’s calendar, makes the to-do list with a name on every job, and reminds you both before anything is due.

One school email. Five things to remember.

A field trip email lands on a Monday. The trip is Friday. The permission slip is due Wednesday. Friday needs a bag lunch and a jacket. The bus gets back after the usual pickup time.

That’s one email. Now add a second child, a class app, a sports schedule, a birthday invite in the backpack and a vaccine form from the pediatrician. Somebody has to read all of it, find the dates, fill in the forms and tell the other adult. Often that’s one parent, holding it all in their head.

Mapa exists to carry that part. You keep the part that matters: being there.

What Mapa does

  1. You send it the paperwork. Forward the school email to your family’s private Mapa address. Or snap the form, drop in the PDF, or send a voice note in the chat.
  2. Mapa pulls out what matters. The dates go on the calendar. The jobs go on the to-do list: sign, pay, pack, pick up. The original stays one tap away.
  3. Every job gets a name. One adult owns each job, so nobody has to ask “I thought you had it?”
  4. You both get a reminder. Before something is due, the adults involved get a reminder by email or on their phone.

Get something wrong? Undo it. Mapa can misread a date, and that’s why the original is always there to check.

What Mapa won’t do

  • Read your inbox. Mapa only sees the emails you forward and the things you send it.
  • Sign in to school apps. Forward the emails they send, or send Mapa a screenshot.
  • Add a forwarded email’s plans without your OK. They wait in your Inbox until an adult checks them.
  • Give medical advice or pick a vaccine schedule. Dates come from your child’s doctor, with the original kept.
  • Show your family’s space to anyone you didn’t invite. Kids don’t get accounts.
  • Use your family’s data to advertise to you.

Why it’s called Mapa

Ma + Pa. And a little map for family life. The name came from the two people who usually share the load, but Mapa is for whoever shares the care in your home.

Where things stand

Early access. Some parts, like email delivery and reminders, are still being tested with families.

Who makes Mapa

Mapa is built by a small team, Bytalos LLC, for families in the US first. We’re testing it with families now, and the FAQ on the home page says plainly what’s still being tested.

Our guides and comparisons are written by the Mapa team. When another app is the better fit for your family, the page says so.
